| How do I upload/transfer photos from my phone? |
To upload photos residing on your phone to your DancePartner.com account, you may:
- Login to your DancePartner.com account directly on your phone and upload them from there. (Learn how: Help Photos/Credentials Uploading Photos), or
- Copy your photos from your phone to your desktop, or simply open a file browser connected to your phone. Then upload them via your desktop DancePartner.com account. (Learn how: Help Photos/Credentials Uploading Photos).
Accessing/Copying Photos
To access/copy photos from your phone to a desktop:
- SIMPLEST METHOD Connect a USB cable between your phone and desktop. The photos on your phone will then be visible in any file browser.
or
- Use a cloud service like Google Photos or iCloud Photos, or a device-specific app such as Windows Phone Link or the iCloud for Windows app.
Using a USB Cable
- Connect: your phone to your desktop computer using a USB cable.
- Unlock: your phone.
- You may now open a file browser on most desktop systems to access your phone photos. Alternately:
- Select: "File Transfer" on your phone when prompted by the "Charging this device via USB" notification.
- Open: the file transfer window on your desktop computer and navigate to your photos.
- Drag: your photos from the phone to a folder on your desktop.
- Eject: your device from the computer before unplugging the cable.
Using a Cloud Service
- Upload: photos from your phone to a cloud service, such as Google Photos or iCloud.
- Open: the cloud service's website or app on your desktop.
- Copy: the photos from the cloud to your desktop computer or simply access them via a file browser from the cloud account.
Using a Device-Specific App (Windows)
- Install: the Phone Link app from the Microsoft Store on your PC.
- Connect: your Android phone to your PC.
- Use: the app to view and access/copy your photos.
Using a Device-Specific App (Mac)
- Connect: your iPhone to your Mac with a USB cable.
- Unlock: your iPhone and tap "Trust This Computer" if prompted.
- Open: the Photos app on your Mac and select the import option.
- Choose: your device, select the photos you want to import, and complete the process.
